What is Plaque?
Plaque is the main factor that causes tooth decay and gum disease. It is a sticky combination of bacteria and food which starts to build up on teeth within 20 minutes after a person eats. The plaque further turns into a hard deposit known as tartar.
Plaque and Tarter produce bacteria and toxins which cause gums problems like
- Cavities – The holes that destroy the structure of the teeth
- Gingivitis which causes inflammation and bleeding gums
- Bad breath or Halitosis
- Periodontitis - The bone and ligaments that support the teeth are destructed often leading to tooth loss
- Abscesses, pain, and inability to use teeth

- Having a healthy and balanced diet.
