Renal diet is advised to people having any type of kidney disease which helps them to cut down their waste in their blood or build up waste products in the body.
A renal diet is low in sodium, protein and phosphorus but a good dietician would advise a diet depending upon the patient's requirement.
Food items to consume – Fresh Vegetables (Cabbage, Cauliflower, Onion, Garlic etc), freshly cut Fruits (Apple, Strawberries, Cherries etc), Egg White etc.
Food to avoid – Dark Colored Colas, Avocados, Canned Foods, Whole Wheat Bread, Bananas, Brown Rice, Orange/Orange Juice, Dairy, Pickles, Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes etc.
